A Swede in Malaysia

Where : the Dusun , Seremban How : 1h 15 min drive from Kuala Lumpur,   What: A cosy, welcomming djungle retreat When : August 2017 We started the drive to the Dungun on the highway from KL. After coming to the village Pantai, roads got smaller. And smaller. And smaller. Until it felt like the road was half as wide as the car. After passing a few gates, we ended up at the Perling House at the Dusun. The place amaizing. It feels like beeing in the middle of the djungle. There are six houses for visitors, each with a nice privacy, all open style and located at the slopes so the view is amazing. Two  nice pools with views out over the djungle. We ordered barbecue from the catering firm for dinner. Nice taste and plenty of food. The house was open style, sleeping with all windows and one wall open in the middle of djungle is special. The sounds, ... (don't expect too much sleep if you are not used to it...). Next morning: breakfast included, and you could choose from Malay

The Tengol island beach Where : Tengol Island Beach Resort , Tengol Island. How : 3,5 - 4 hours from drive to Kuala Dungun, and from there boat 45 min (arranged by the the Tengol Island Beach Resort) When : August 2017 This is a lovely place: wonderful nature and sea, friendly people, and very quiet. Kind of disconnected from everything - exactly what we needed this weekend! The beach is about 500 meters long, and there are 3 resorts at the island, all located at the beach. None of them are very big, but we stayed at one of the smaller: Tengol Island Beach Resort. Basic but good standard (electricity, AC in the rooms, good beds, tidy and clean, everything well organized). We the all inclusive package we got breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffé (mostly Malaysian dishes, tasty!), and free coffee (well, the coffee was not the best in town...) and tea. When we arrived we realized that we dived directly into the scuba diving subculture! That gave a very nice and relaxed atmospher
